Children and Youth
Our Mission and Vision is as follows:-
We respect children and young people as unique individuals in their own right, created and loved by God. We aim to reach out to non-Christian children and young people, to share the love and grace of god, helping them recognise his free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. Christian children and young people are treated as valuable members of the church today and the church tomorrow.
As a Church we aim, wherever possible in partnership with parents, to be helping their children learn about God through the scriptures and to live a lifestyle that is honouring to him and to themselves. Our leaders are all encouraged to lead and to witness as least as much by example as by word. We believe that as far as possible children and young people should remain integrated into the rest of the family of the church, however we do believe special distinct provision often needs to be made through the teenage years.
We are committed to developing God-given leadership and ministry gifts wherever possible. Young people are strongly encouraged to attend Christian camps, either with the church or with the local school Christian Union. We also support young people who offer themselves for short term service abroad.
