SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE/TEA

After the 9.30 and 6.30 services, refreshments are served in the Centre.

This is always a good opportunity for everyone - especially newcomers - to relax and mix with friends. For newcomers to Holy Rood at the 9.30 service it's a good idea to have a member of the Welcome Team to see you through to the Centre and point you in the right direction as it can be a bit noisy and confusing if you are new. Otherwise - just follow the crowd!

We are a very happy band of pilgrims serving refreshments on Sunday, working on a rota and taking a turn - on average - once a month. Its good to be 'the other side of the counter' serving our fellow Christians and it's a good opportunity to socialise as well.

We are always on the look-out for new talent so if you feel that this is "You" have a word with the Church Office. What we really do appreciate are any offer to help with the washing up afterwards which is the worst part of the deal. So feel free to poke you head around the kitchen door and offer help (tea towels provided!!)

We are designated a "Fair Trade" Church and are committeed to serving only Fair Trade tea and coffee, not just on Sundays but at all our events and functions. The money raised goes to outreach like Christian Aid, Lent Appeals, sponsored runs and to help any of our youngsters in their projects connected to the Church. So remember when you are enjoying your Sunday cuppa that you are contributing to a very worthy cause and ENJOY.
