The Good Companions II Club is for Senior Citizens from around this area.
We are a luncheon club and meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month, from May to September. and we spend the day at the Rotary Wheelhouse at Hill Head beach.
We have a superb team of drivers who collect the majority of our members, most of whom could not get to the club without transport.
We supply coffee when they arrive, followed by a hot two course lunch, with coffee or tea.
In the afternoon we have entertainment, mainly local choirs or singers. We also enjoy a game of "Bingo" (prizes are strictly bars of chocolate, not money !)
We also have two or three outings every year - perhaps for a cream tea in the New Forest - or a picnic.Twice a year we go to the Fareham Musical Society's productions at Ferneham Hall in Fareham.
We have a small committee (Sybil Benoy, Ivy Hiser and Jean McGillvray) but the members help by washing up and handing round tea etc.
In October we have a Birthday Service helped by the church and whose support we much appreciate
